Halloween is this weekend, so if you're looking for a last-minute big batch cocktail that will keep your guests properly hydrated—and might turn them into mutants—look no further! (Note: This will not actually hydrate anyone, just so we're clear. Priorities, people!)
Meet Zombie Punch: it's the perfect potion of simple, cheap, and delicious ingredients that will have your friends coming back for another round. And the best part? When backlit by a blacklight, it totally looks like toxic sludge.
What You'll Need:
Like any great, frat-house inspired cocktail, you're going to need soda, juice, and booze. In order to get the ideal glow from the blacklight, we suggest a soda like Mountain Dew, Mello Yellow, or Sun Drop—something with a sickly-green tint that will catch the blue tones from the bulb in the dark.
- 1 l. Mountain Dew, or other green lemon-lime soda
- 1 l. lemonade
- 750 ml. vodka
- large glass (or plastic, we don't judge) bowl
- black light

Dew It Up
Start by combining the lemonade and the vodka in the bowl. Give it a stir to make sure it's all mixed, then add the Mountain Dew. That's it and that's all—your Zombie Punch is done.
Now, this combination alone will already kind of look like toxic waste, so get ready for what it will look like once the black light is added into the equation.

If you want to up the ante a bit and take this libation to the next level, feel free to add in an icy, severed hand for extra shock value.
It's Lit
Having a black light at your party will make you look like a total badass, especially if it's accompanied by delicious drank. As an added bonus, this is a theme-specific cocktail that doesn't get too gory like some other Halloween recipes.
Warning: prolonged exposure to Zombie Punch may turn your guests into actual monsters, demons, and less-than-distinguished ladies. Drink at your own risk.
You've been warned.
