Each year we inevitably fall into the pumpkin spice game. From the usual (like lattes and muffins) to the slightly more absurd (like Pringles and beef jerky)—if the leaves are turning colors and food ain't pumpkin spiced, it ain't worthy of consumption.
The same seasonal rules obviously apply to booze, because... well, we'll take about any reason to throw booze into the mix. So, whether you're feeling it or not, here are 5 pumpkin spiced versions of your favorite kinds of alcohol.
1. Pumpkin Spice Moonshine
Corsair Distillery, named 2013 Innovator of the Year by Whisky Magazine, makes a pumpkin spice moonshine worthy of knocking your Halloween-loving socks right off. The product is distilled twice in a hybrid pot still, then infused with the fantastic flavors of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Get your sticky hands on it while you can, goblins, 'cause it's bound to sell out this season.
2. Pumpkin Spice Vodka
From Jackson, Mississippi comes Cathead Distillery (whose name sounds about right for the season of spooky). Their vodka comes in flavors like honeysuckle, pecan, and—yep, you guessed it—pumpkin spice. Sip on the South through this spicy vodka and maybe even whip up a seasonal martini to pair with your pumpkin pie.
3. Pumpkin Spice Latte Beer
While we're on the topic, it would be cruel and uncool to forego mention of this buzz-worthy new product on the market: pumpkin spice latte beer. From Breckenridge Brewery this seasonal brew is said to have you buzzing like a caffeinated honeybee. The only question remains: are we allowed to have it for breakfast alongside our pumpkin spiced flapjacks? (The answer, of course, is yes—because we're adults, dammit, and we'll have alcohol whenever we please.)
4. Pumpkin Spice Kahlúa
Grab a few friends and gather 'round the fall fire with this mix of rum and coffee liqueur for a rowdy good time. Featuring tasting notes of autumnal spices, 100% Arabica coffee, sugarcane rum, and natural pumpkin, we're loving this pumpkin spice Kahlúa. Add a few capfuls over vanilla ice cream if you're looking to warm up a cool treat.
5. Pumpkin Spice Hard Cider
Nothing says fall like apple cider and pumpkins... so, why not combine them to make a crazy flavor combo that any basic bitch would love? Harpoon Brewery makes this their pumpkin cider with real pumpkin and fresh pressed apples—no fake extracts here, folks. Best served with a pair of Uggs and an infinity scarf.
Pumpkin Spice + Booze = Magic
You may not know what your costume will be yet, but your pumpkin spice game is about to get real epic at your next Halloween party thanks to these excellent boozes. And even if you decide to kick back and hang at home (or keep your love of pumpkin spice on the down low), you can still celebrate the season with a bit of liquid glory.
