Grilled cheese is one of my favorite foods, ever. However, there are times in my life when I haven't had access to a full kitchen, and it's pretty hard to make a good grilled cheese sandwich without one.

Thankfully, there's now a little invention that makes it entirely possible to make a pretty good grilled cheese even if you're in a dorm or office where your cooking appliances are limited: toaster cheese bags (aka toastabags)!

My love for these bags is unlimited. They hold one grilled cheese sandwich (two slices of bread and cheese) and slide into a toaster slot. If you're trying to cut calories, you can skip the butter and your sandwich will come out pretty darn good. However, since the bags can be washed and reused, you can also butter your bread and get a near-perfect facsimile of a grilled cheese made on a stovetop.

Recipeboy performed a test run of the bags with some Colby cheese and deli ham, and the results are pretty impressive:

Toastabags also work great in toaster ovens, since they keep the bread and cheese snugly together. That means no dripping cheese or residue in the toaster oven to piss off your coworkers/roommates.

And while there are plenty of ways to make grilled cheese sandwiches in a toastersans any toastabag-like protection, these bags have another benefit: they're perfect for anyone who has celiac disease or is avoiding gluten for other reasons. Your GF grilled cheese won't make contact with any surface that probably has gluten on it.

They're dishwasher safe, too!

They're easily available online from brands such as Boska Holland, Lakeland, and Toastabags, and for a decent price, too. I say anything that lets you get your grilled cheese fix more easily is something that you want in your life, stat!
